Should have, should’ve or should of Should have refers to a missed opportunity, an unfulfilled obligation. Should have is often expressed as the contraction should’ve, especially in speech. Should’ve sounds perilously like should of, however should of is not correct and should never be used. Contractions have been around as long as the English language, many examples exist in Old English. Interestingly, while the use of contractions has always been popular in spoken English, there have been periods in history when the use of contractions in written English was frowned upon. Today, contractions such as should’ve are not generally used in academic and scientific writing, but may be found in more informal methods of written communication. 🔇X

Mostly black legged ticks were here until about three years ago. Now there are significant numbers of Lone Star Ticks. The Lone Star Ticks can transmit several pathogens that make both people and animals sick. The number of ticks is exacerbated by the tremendous number of overpopulated deer who carry the ticks all over town, through our woodlands and neighborhoods. It is extremely important to take precautions using spray repellants and long tucked in clothing for protection and self examination to insure that the ticks are removed promptly.

anon-402q	Posted: Wed, May 26 2021, 3:26 pm EDT    Post subject: Re: ticks ---Cranbury Estates? Like everywhere the ticks are a problem in town. Walk the preserve and you’ll see a lot. Apparently this winter was mild enough to make it a bad tick season too.
