| At a TC meetings in the past when this was discussed, I got the impression that since we use the plainsboro courts that issuing tickets was not encouraged. Was a few years ago but seems that’s the same sentiment in that you don’t see many pulled over. Just my experience but I have witnessed speeders let off with warning and while Oman a walk saw an officers on his phones in a traffic post literally while a car ran a red light. Human error and honestly not a knock on the PD. I believe that they do a tremendous job keeping us safe, just not sure ticketing is a priority from a township administration/ TC perspective and as one poster rightly assumes above, that’s what stops people from speeding, not signs asking them to slow down. |

Taxpayers shouldn't have to attend meetings to get information that should be easily accessible and transparent to the public. If the stats can be cited in a meeting they easily could be posted on the the website or included in the email communication, etc. |

Same response every time. "Attend a meeting . stop complaining"
Stop accepting the Unchecked speeding and making and accepting excuses. Retirements etc, etc. boo hoo. All excuses at the expense of Public safety. You pay a lot of taxes, you should not have to duck for cover on Maplewood Ave at 4-5PM If other Towns can do it so should Cranbury. |

| Retirements have put staffing levels at dangerous levels. They also haven’t added overall to the staff in 20yrs. Same man power levels just replacements except for adding 2 officers last few years but that did not last long w retirements and injuries. |

| Walk down Station Rd. on any given day and you'll see how fast the cars are going. Cranbury Neck in the 25 as well. P.D. can't be everywhere at once but if there is a greater penalty for getting caught it may put a dent into speeding. |

| Every month the Chief gives a report to the TC on tickets and stops. Instead of complaining maybe attend a meeting and listen. |

| If you recall, 2 additional Policemen were hired a few years ago with the explanation given for that additional expense, they were necessary to help control Speeding through Main St and Maplewood Ave. It would be interesting to see the Court statistics for the past five years to see if Citations issued for speeding increased as a result. From a perception standpoint there has been no change, as the use of these two roads as a cut-through from 130 remains unchecked and dangerous. Blinking signs are a joke without enforcement. |
