Lowering taxes - we have the lowest taxes in Middlesex County. But we are in one of the highest taxed states. Our leadership should strive to make sure our property taxes go downward, not stay the same or go upward. That would have been a good topic for discussion.
When was the last time they went upward?

Supporting fire and police/keeping crime low - we have the highest per capita rate of police to residents in Middlesex County. Disingenuous.
How many calls come from East of 130 versus West of 130?

Our police are used in commercial zones and on the turnpike. What about the fire department? Do we have enough volunteer firefighters to save our homes?
How many homes were destroyed by fires due to lack of firefighters in town? How many were destroyed even though enough firefighters were available? How many volunteer firefighters are in town? What is are the firefighters doing to recruit?

Keeping marijuana shops off Main St. - the TC already resolved not to have marijuana shops in our town. Wrong. The TC punted on the issue and it can still come back. We should have a strong leadership that stands AGAINST selling drugs in our town.
Democratic candidates on the ballot are for shops? Point out when that was communicated by them...

Of course, let's discuss climate change.[/quote]

It’s kind of a misrepresentation to talk about the needs of fire, police, and EMS and only talk about the residential population. Those resources are used much more frequently by the 8 or so square miles of commercially rated zones which increase truck traffic and keep our taxes low.

[How much can we talk about climate change, affordable housing (and maybe more of it), and trick-or-treating? No important issues were discussed like lowering taxes, supporting our fire and police departments, keeping the crime rate low, and keeping marijuana shops off of main street.]

Really? I'll answer (and you should already know these answers):
Lowering taxes - we have the lowest taxes in Middlesex County
Supporting fire and police/keeping crime low - we have the highest per capita rate of police to residents in Middlesex County.
Keeping marijuana shops off Main St. - the TC already resolved not to have marijuana shops in our town.

But it's a shame we wasted time talking about climate change, an existential threat to our existence, affordable housing when there is a nationwide housing shortage, and trick-or-treating when parents are concerned for their children's safety.

Perhaps you could have asked a question about an "important issue" yourself?

That Candidates night was a bunch of fluff. If I hear BIKE PATH one more time I will barf. I did think that Spann /Wright were disrespectful to the Womans Club invitation but the two candidates that attended were very vague and our Mayor sure is not a good speaker and without her notes is really lost. I do think that Evelynn Spann has been the most diligent Committee member in the past 25 years and always does her homework and attends so many board meetings that she should remain on the Committee so as to balance the power. Lets vote based on quality of candidate and not on political affiliation.

BIKE PATH

Did your breakfast come up?

Disappointing that Evelynn is so qualified, yet unable to attend for a laughable reason. Certainly does not speak to her great leadership in town. I guess we have to take your word that she is so wonderful after giving the middle finger to the Women's Club and Cranbury residents.

Hmmm. So, you were on the call, and you had a chance to ask an "important" question, yet you chose not to.

How come?

Close to 100 people on zoom don’t care? What a lame excuse Spann and Wright gave.

What’s the real reason they didn’t show? No plan, no platform, no vision for Cranbury?

Candidates night has been a joke for over a decade. It is a Democratic Party sponsored event of the women’s club. It’s a complete waste of time. No one cares, it’s a damn Rara session to beat up on the Republicans. Good job skipping the Democratic Party campaign rally.

Let's see if Spann and Wright, the zoom meeting lurkers, will ask a question after the spit in your face reason to not participate.
