So these supposed visitors were charmed by dozens of plastic blow ups of mostly comical figures that have absolutely nothing to do with the birth of Jesus or "nature" but horrified and offended by clearly lighthearted displays of skeletons and other make-believe ghouls? To say it's disrespectful to Christmas is completely arbitrary. Outside of going to church, absolutely none of the traditions of Christmas have anything to do with the birth of Jesus or Christianity. Not Santa, snowmen, Christmas trees, etc. Not even the time of year its celebrated. December 25 was a Roman Pagan holiday that was adopted by the converting Roman empire as a bridge between the old and new religions. There's zero evidence it is near the time of Jesus's birth but it has a Pagan history that long predates Christianity. So, arguably, symbols of the supernatural (animated skeletons, werewolves and ghosts) are at least as appropriate to the season as Santa or snowmen (both also supernatural figures with no place in the Bible). More importantly, mind your own business. Why do people feel the need to seek out offense? Why do you feel the need to control other people? Whether it's deciding what to do on their properties or how they identify or who they want to partner with, live and let live. Don't be a jerk. It's also interesting that jerks always can dish it out, but rarely take it, all according to their own arbitrary standards. The moment you say distaste is the reason to criticize what someone does in their yard, its fair game to whine about why you chose an ugly color for your house or don't trim the bushes correctly. Same fruit from the same tree. Or you can just live your life and stop worrying about how other people choose to live theres.

It will never be the same again, but one thing is true we will always have our memories of how the town used to be. But maybe its just a few people who sit behind a keyboard and type. Because I am sure that you would not say this to Jay's face or anyone else you have a problem with. I dont see anything on here posted on the facebook page all about cranbury. So I sit here just hoping its a dumb ass troll hacking and trying to start trouble and we all can still be kind to each other. No matter what someone has in their yard (we all pay property taxes and have a right to put whatever we want in our yards)
