I believe he is a resident of Princeton and there was talk about running senate in 2008 and for gov. in 2009. http://ir.amicustherapeutics.com/management.cfm According to Wikipedia In the spring of 2008, Crowley was frequently mentioned as a potential candidate for the Republican nomination for United States Senate in New Jersey to oppose incumbent Democrat Frank Lautenberg. Though Crowley initially declined, reports on April 4, 2008 indicated that he would enter the race before the April 7 filing deadline.[13] On April 6, however, Crowley again announced that he would not run for Senate... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Crowley_(biotech_executive) For more information about the Crowley's - Visit their website at http://www.crowleyfamily5.com/index.htm[/quote]

Amazing story. I remember reading it in the Wall Street Journal.
The article doesn't specific his ties to Cranbury specifically, versus New Jersey. Can someone fill in the details?
Thanks.
In the linked article I do write about Cranbury based Amicus Therapeutics and John Crowley's recent CEO press release that Outlines 2010 Strategic Priorities. You can read about it and see the trailor there:
