I am saying I do not believe a newly minted committee will not operate substantially different than the current one. You seem to find all of the members suspect if they were appointed by stout. I just don't think that is the case and we need to continue on with the business at hand.
Your suggestion is basically all township business stop between election and reorg. that is one hell of a way to run a railroad. I would even agree with you if I believed the board was in a lame duck session trying to put one over on the newly elected officials. I don't believe that. If you do, then it is incumbent on YOU to point out specifically how they would do this. You have not. I didn't lay this as a trap, I assumed you had some big issue that was annoying you in the upcoming master plan. I guess you don't. It is just politics with you.

So, your answer is that you do not know of any substantive difference the next board would set. Your only problem is you dislike the people who appointed this board. I say let them do there job. I know most of these folks and they are fine people, I believe I will know most of the new appointees and they would be fine as well. Let the process continue.
You first.
You responded to questions with a question and twice in a row have dodged answering the original questions. I guess when you don't have answers evading by trying to change the subject is the best you can do.

i find it suspicious that they are rushing to do this revision now when it was not yet mandated for revision literally just before a change in control on the Township Committee. It’s no secret that Mr. Stout has had a policy of filling the Board exclusively with political allies, as opposed to the more transitional local practice of having a mix of backgrounds and political leanings on the party.
What’s the rush? Why not at least wait until early next year when the TC that will be stuck with the consequences of any revision is in office and the make-up of the Board at least includes a minority of current TC members or their appointees?
I guess it’s just one last parting shot from Mr. Stout and Mr. Stannard. Speaking of which, I see Stannard’s house is up for sale again. Didn’t get any reasonable offers before. So he’s not even sticking around to experience the results.
The Master Plan has been worked on for the last 12 months. The TC adopts it, but the Master Plan is a PB function and process not a TC one.
Of course it is a function of the PB. Nothing in the email you replied to suggested otherwise. In fact it referenced the Board several times. The issue is Stout sits on the PB now and most of the current members were appointed by Stout, Stannard or Stave, none of whom will be involved in Township governance after next month. Why have a board appointed entirely along political lines, as was their policy, try to get a lame duck TC coalition to adopt major changes that will impact the Township so significantly right on the verge of new TC members coming on, a change in TC control, a new mayor. since they traded the position back and forth only among themselves previously? We are not required to have completed a revision yet. If there is no political motivation why not extend the process a few months to allow some new PB members, a new Mayor’s participation and the full attention of the new TC, along with time for additional public comment along the way?
So exactly how would it be different once we replace the Marxist socialist current members of the planning board with the future Facist teabag members? My guess is not much can you point out the specificly political aspects of the masterplan that you think the next planning board would not approve of? If you can't i am going to get rude.
I see many our offended at the sarcasm. There has been no reply to the substance of the question. Draw your own conclusion.
Not everyone revolves their life around checking this forum so you were a little premature to “draw conclusions” based on the lack of response by 9:14am to a post you left at 11:45pm the previous night… I find it ironic that you are saying you can draw conclusions based on a lack of response when your response didn’t address any of the issues actually raised in the post you were replying to, and you don’t even have the excuse of having not obsessively checked the forum in the middle of the night since you already replied and ignored the questions.
It’s a statement of fact that the recent mayors have all exclusively screened and appointed people to the Boards based on political party affiliation. And it’s a statement of fact that control of the TC is changing early next year. You don’t have to prove whether the PB has acted in good faith to then logically raise the question of why they would try and conclude a major process the Township only does about once a decade literally weeks before that change when there is no legal, regulatory or time sensitive local imperative to do so. So why not answer the question? What is the harm in waiting a month? Even if the PB is 100% acting in good faith for the collective interests of the community, it would be useful to have the new Mayor involved, since the Mayor traditionally sits on the PB, rather than decide it weeks before there is one. It’s the outgoing and recent Mayors who unfortunately decided to change Cranbury tradition and politicize the appointments. Why not avoid any doubt about it by waiting a matter of weeks? And it was also the practice of the outgoing mayor to minimize public involvement in the process. Why not see if the new Mayor continues that processes or uses his position on the PB to change that.
As to whether the new TC majority will just do the same and make political affiliation the primary criteria for appointment, it’s too early to assume that. Historically until the outgoing group of TC members the Boards were not filled on that basis. I hope the new TC restores that tradition as it should have no place in the process. They should pick qualified candidates regardless of politics. Until they do otherwise there’s no cause to accuse them of it whereas to note what the outgoing Mayor did is a statement of fact based on his record. And in the worst case that the new Mayor does do this, since the Board terms are multi-year the net result, at least for the next couple of years, would still be a Board of mixed political background so there is hardly reason to worry about some extremist tea party control of the process anytime soon. In fact, the current appointees would still make up the majority. So all a month buys is a minority of new blood on the PB. Why the fear? Why the rush?

Well based on this comment, being rude would certainly seem out of character...
How did the meeting go? I am unclear as to what action was being taken on the plan.

Thanks.
There was no respectful spirit in the post I was commenting on. They were referring to the planning board as a group of political hacks. I simply asked that they put up or shut up. I stand by my statement.
