I see other posts getting pushed down, and I don't think its a bad thing.

If you support keeping the offending posts off the front page, why did you recycle this post which only brings it up again? And who are you speaking to exactly since as far as I could tell know one on this topic was contributing to the offending posts? And what does any of this have to do with Christie or cheap shots at him? That's nowhere in this topic.

Thanks but this is not your fight.
@ OP
From what I see, if you did not mind defamatory posts going away then you would not be posting this notice.
Secondly the party(ies) at hand seem to be relentless in their assaults of insults so it does not really matter they will be back tomorrow no doubt.
But here is your nudge and wink if it makes you feel better about it
I am on the night shift, so I can go all night. But that is not my intent. If someone had a meaningful post that somehow was pushed off the home page just bump it back up and please accept my apologies if I pushed your topic down.
I hope we can agree we all would prefer to see this site not cluttered with wortheless postings as well as sensless attacks.

Absent site administrator? What?
Someone needs to take a little anti paranoid pill I think.
Wait you got me a group of us want the Christie breakfast post on top oh my God. Its a breakfast opportunity for a meet tomorrow morning with the governor.. Hello???
What are you talking about? Everyone who visit this site regularly knows the site administrator infrequently takes an active role in posts. There have been occasional bursts of activity, usually after someone complains, but mostly the site waxes or wanes on its own, often going days without a single post followed by brief bursts of activity. What's paranoid about that? No conspiracy, no problem, just a simple statement of the obvious. And what does any of this have to do with the Christie post? Why single it out when there have been replies to dozens of posts this evening? Again, more activity today than in some whole months.
It's obvious the unnamed topic, which may have been deleted by now, finally reached some point where someone decided to intervene. Not a bad thing considering it brought out the nastiest in the anonymity here, on both sides. But LOL if we're supposed to believe all sudden activity is a coincidence.

Looks more like an SEO event to get the blog site more attention. So perhaps you should contact the site owner. It would take administrative access to make a determination.
It does appear though that the site has been used to exploit and attack others rather than its intended purpose according to the rules the site designer has published.
I suppose there are those that like to see the petty bickering, and aononymous trolling. I for one do not.
Keep up the good work whomever is driving here.
Please, this isn't an SEO event by the mostly absentee administrator. That's an insult to common sense. First, they would have done so long ago in the many years here not coincidentally right now. Second, promoting a few more comments wouldn't do any good. They would need lots of links in the post to other sites and to get those sites in turn to link to this one. Third, the particular topic that is obviously being pushed off the home page has more external links than most posts here yet it isn't getting any of these trite little replies despite being more SEO-worthy. Again, I have no issue with the particular topic dying, but a wink and nod would have been better than pretending like that wasn't the purpose...

Post subject: Nice work moving the post off the home page...
More replies here in the last day than in a typical month, many resurrecting old, dead topics.
Nice strategy to move a certain topic off the home page.
I won't mention or link to the topic because I see no reason it shouldn't be retired.
Just calling out the obvious reason for the unusual activity. If no one bumps said topic back to the home page I expect all the sudden activity will magically wain again.
