Friday, June 13, 2008 11:54 AM EDT By Maria Prato-Gaines, Staff Writer CRANBURY — Representatives from the New Jersey Water Co. presented a preliminary proposal to add a backup line to Cranbury’s water system, at Monday’s Township Committee meeting. The water main extension has been scheduled for installation at the end of the summer. Construction work on the line will take place on Plainsboro Road where workers will be installing an additional line in the westbound lanes from Aspen Road to North Main Street. ”Anything happens to that (existing) main, we lose our ability to maintain Cranbury’s tank level,” Scott Connor, an engineering manager for the water company, told the committee. Residents should not expect water service interruption during the project, he said, which will take anywhere from eight to 12 weeks to complete. * ”There won’t be an impact from a water service standpoint. Of course, there will be an impact from a traffic standpoint,” Mr. Connor said. http://www.packetonline.com/articles/2008/06/13/cranbury_press/news/doc4852933cad7e1088095575.txt
CRANBURY — Representatives from the New Jersey Water Co. presented a preliminary proposal to add a backup line to Cranbury’s water system, at Monday’s Township Committee meeting.
