It's exactly the same think happening between Cranbury and the State itself. We send some of our local taxes to the State and basically get NOTHING back, while it goes to other bigger townships that Corzine claims are more "cost effecient." So he's already a big practitioner of the concept.
Post subject: I'd like to hear Corzine answer this one!!!
He was a Senator for some time, so maybe he would know.
If NJ is strapped for money, why do we send so much of our federal taxes to OTHER states??????????????????????????
I'm not sure of the exact figure, but, something like 60 cents of every dollar that we send to DC, we get back.
Other states, like way down yonder in Dixie, get more than a dollar back for every dollar that they send in!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WT*????????????????????????????????????????
Our Senators are there to fight for us so that we get some kind of parity. Why do other states get more???????? Because, NJ is SO rich? Why can't we keep some of our own money? If these poorer states need rural electrification or highways............let them pay for it themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm all for turning off the spigot. They have gotten a free ride for much too long. They don't appreciate it anyway!!!!!!!They just call us Northeastern liberals and make fun of our embrace of civilized society.
What is wrong with our government???????????????????????
