Post subject: Re: Blue Rooster Article and Video....
I wouldnt get all worked up about these posts, we have all been through this before. Everyone has on opinion. If they want to say something bad about the blue rooster I do not think posting on here will effect their business one bit. The things that get posted on here are so petty and crazy it is unbelievable. Do we not have better things to do then talk about Karen and children putting their shoes on the wrong feet?
Why dont we look at our lives and be happy for what we have. We have the option of going to the BR because we have money. How about people who are on the street and the least of their worries are a danish at the blue rooster and only worry is if they will make it through the night. Lets be thankful we live in a great community and have options on what we can and cannot do everyday. We have our health or money our friends etc.. Be thankful people becuase life is short!!!

The comments about the lack of respect for children and sensitivity about the review interested me enough to track down this blog for the first time.
I have to say, someone here seems to have it in for the Blue Rooster. That seemed evident before but now I am certain. The posts about the review and the negativity toward kids is grossly overblown and out of context having now read the blog. I found the blog refreshing, pleasant and honest -- made me want to patron there more often to know the owners are so involved and interested in feedback.
Whoever it is that hates them for some personal reason, you would have more credibility if you just admitted your bias...
Once again, Karen's "tells" are evident in this post. Nobody overuses dashes and ellipses like she does. Nor would anyone else use "patron" as a verb. These things are obvious to anyone who reads her blog.
I also disagree about the negativity towards children being overblown. If a parent's perception is that his/her child isn't being treated properly by a store/restaurant/etc. owner, that is his/her reality. If that parent feels strongly enough to provide feedback to the offending party, it must have been pretty bad.
Actually, you're wrong. I was the poster and am not Karen, nor have I ever met her (to the best of my knowledge) -- I wouldn't even know her name but for the posts here (see, Karen's not the only one who likes the double dash or uses the word patron). I have no stake in the business or the owners whatsoever. My limited first-hand experiences with the Blue Rooster has only been positive and all of the people I know who've been there like it. Obviously at least one person doesn't. You’re entitled to your opinion of course but it is pretty obvious to a neutral reader that there is a grudge involved here.
I'll sign my name. How about you do the same?
Sincerely,
Jason Stewart

Seriously, this poster must be really have it in for Karen. If she was that bad do you think she'd not only apologize on the blog, but also mention it there? She'd simply ignore it and not mention it at all. Now that this poster's motives are clear and people are calling them, they are now trying even harder to defend their position.
As a parent, I am the first to say I am shocked at how some parents treat their kids like idols and how they can do no wrong, just as I am when I see overly tough parents. I know one parent who won't tell her kids they put shoes on the wrong foot instead saying that they'll learn from the mistake without judgement, the dad and I are friends and he complains about things like this all the time. So perhaps the mom felt that the kid should have been treated in some special manner or was truly treated improperly. Who knows, but blaming Karen doesn't seem right.

Actually, I think there is one person posting multiple times with bias. It's funny how they allude to the blog and when someone posts the actual blog post it is nothing like what the "informative" guest here said. So if anyone is not taking something well, it is the poster here, not the BR.

Another interesting read is Karen's blog "response" to the article. She doesn't seem to take criticism very well. Perhaps she should let Bob be the spokesperson for the Blue Rooster for a while.
I was more amazed by the blog regarding the lack of respect given to a patrons children

What is wrong with her comment about being pleased with the review and inviting him back to fix the one or two bad things he saw? And if she did not believe in her work or in the reviewer's comments then why did she link the review?

We are very pleased with Pete's assessment, would like him to come back and try French Toast again -- so many variations & so many customers really do seem to find it a value & a good meal!
And the roast chicken is one of our biggest sellers in the sandwich category. Never good to find a customer who had dry chicken, I firmly believe it to be the rare exception or I would have heard more about it and sold fewer!
