It's hard to do homework using candles for the kids!

This kind of outage has happened twice in the past 7 days. Any idea what's going on?
Should of done their homework before dark I suppose.

Yes, if I could predict the outage or if this was a planned outage.

Right, how about try reading a book or two using candlelight and report back how it goes? Are you spoiled too?

You could borrow a Kindle from the library.

Kindles are not backlit so that wouldn't help you. But if you have an iphone, android phone or ios/android-powered tablet you could get the free Kindle apps and use the listennj.com site to download free kindle books.

I heard a neighbor in Shadow Oaks accidently cut the power when they were removing the last tree marking the entrance to the public nature preserve.

You probably don't have kids who need to do homework during power outage. Luckily, I have a gas power generator to power lights for my kids, and my daughter got up early this morning to use computer.

Don't know. Your lines are underground there right? Usually that takes care of a lot of the problem, like squirrels blowing up transformers.
