Not sure how unique a Ford Explorer is. But I agree and know the PD does as well that the driver should be found. Hopefully, they will be.

Too bad no one got even a partial plate.

To add to the reply I posted moments ago regarding discrepancies in the description of the car involved, as per the victim's aunt, she just informed me she is under the impression it was "champagne-colored beige with silver trim 2007 Ford Expedition".

The media available out there flipped from silver SUV possible Ford to beige Ford Explorer w/silver trim back to beige again. For at least those reading here, does anyone know what the final description is and if "silver trim", what does that mean-chrome? two tone paint with beige and silver? The discrepancies could discourage people from the search as is many a person's nature. Also, to think about the original news flashes, I seem to remember that Cranbury P.D. was looking to town residents w/surveillance cameras near Plainsboro Rd & N. Main Street. That time of the day it needs to be addressed that many cut down Maplewood Ave. and turn right onto Westminster, Park Place or Scott Ave to get to Main Street if heading south particularly those in a rush. I understand from someone who did not see the incident as it happened but was in the immediate area at the time and thus was informed during the initial rescue attempts that the driver was heading southward or so he heard.

I am very glad that this post has started early in the day Thursday as I was later taken up on the offer by the victim's aunt to start a New Topic here on this forum that I recommended for their pursuit, which obviously is to identify the driver or have he or she come forward. While a circumstance of this type, especially with a youth involved, is never welcome, it is even harder to deal with as the victim's immediate family are about as nice a new addition to Cranbury since they moved here as there can be. Knowing the young victim's father and having very closely known her aunt for a very long time, these people are the last souls around that should be dealing with anything but happiness in trade for their "nicely contagious" positive outlook and kindness to others.

Any news if they found the person yet?

I hope they do find them and they sit in jail for a long time. How can someone not stop? This is horrible.
