So if there are savings from clean up day and the money is used to offset hiring someone part time then they are still ahead of the game. Of course, why not ask in the bid process if the contractor will bill people directly instead of the town? Since this has not gone to bid and the referendum is only to investigate why not ask this question of the contractor? In terms of COAH, since we subsidize them as a town I don't think they really are a valid part of this discussion. The Four Seasons are valid. <br /> <br />This is a referendum to look and see what can be done and what the final cost would be. A second referendum is to proceed. A lot of the questions raised seem to relate more to the second referendum than to this one which is to investigate the issue. <br /> <br />To me it comes down to with a family I need to count every penny. I make cuts on cable, don't eat out often, take the family to the movies maybe every few months if that, and don't own a business with a dumpster. I look for every way to save and if I can save $20 a month then to me that is important. I can't validate spending $20 more a month because someone with more money then me feels they can throw away $240-$400 a year simply because they want the option to change a provider when they likely have used the same provider for years.
