I don't understand the question. This year's results have been up since the afternoon of the race on the link above. |

Hi
I think we all agree that the race was a great event and raised a significant amount of money for charity. A number of us probably disagree with how the execution of the race results occurred, especially those who have experienced how they are done in most other 5k races. To ensure the success of this event for future Cranbury Days, I think the organizers to need to evaluate the handling of the race (and results) and the firm that was hired to do the timing and result page. If the ultimate goal is raise as much money for charity as possible and to get a large number of runners, this 5k race has to be similar in execution to the other major 5k races around the area. Those are just my thoughts. |

This is very professional. I bet next year there will be more racers and it will become a major event on Cranbury Day. |

They didn't announce all the results on the day of the race. They only announced the top three per category, and had an errors then, with the 16 year old boy who won the 10 and under category. And they didn't let everyone have access to the full board of results so you couldn't necessarily go by that.
My results on the site are a few seconds off what I know I did. Their system was relying on a guy with some kind of calculator strapped around his neck who was occasionally distracted. When I and a couple others came in we were forced to slow to a walk passed the finish line toward where they collect the bib tags and he only recorded us somewhere along that walk as we stopped to wait our turn to be collected. No big deal.
Also, they seem to be missing some data. My bib tag clearly showed my age, for example, but they list me with no age in the results. It's not like I would have placed so it doesn't matter. But there are some people without ages who are listed before some of the top placers in various categories, so who knows.
Overall I don’t think it matters. This was a charity event. Everyone could see their real times as they finished and it was all for fun and a good cause and was a great event. |

These results are not the same as those announced on the day of the race. |

Results are posted for those interested:

I noticed my time is recorded 4 seconds slower than my actual time. It wouldn't have made any difference in the results (by a long shot), just noting the margin of error, which seems fine. |

To respond to the previous email, it is true that there was a person collecting bib tags and placing them in order of finish. In addition, there is another person with a calculator-type machine who clicks it every time a runner passes the finish line. This records the time for every finisher. It is not the most accurate but is pretty close.
After that, all one has to do is to link the data (entry form info, order of tags, and time of each finisher) and compile the data to get an ordered finish list. You can write a short excel/c program to do this. Cheers. |
