I spoke with Jay Taylor today in passing. I asked how the budget was going and if he liked giving up his Saturdays. He said today that the budget was done and that they lowered spending and agreed to introduce a budget with a zero tax increase on Monday night for the municipal taxes. He said the discussion was fully agreed upon by all the TC members. It is nice to see the whole TC working together to keep taxes low for the town.
Post subject: Re: Municipal Tax Rate 2010
If everyone paid attention to their total tax bill , they'd see that the school tax makes up well over 50% of the total tax. The township does a good job respecting our pockets.

That's good to hear. I wonder if the school follows suit though. I doubt it based on their past behavior.
