There had been a breach of water under the spill way which resulted in the Department of Environmental Protection, Bridge and Dam safety Division issuing an order that required Cranbury to lower the level of the lake to its present state. <br />Once the Brainerd Lake Bridge and Dam project has been completed the lake will be brought back to its original level. <br /> <br />Project points include: <br /> <br />1. The project will be advertised publicly for contractor bid the week of July 27,2013 <br />2. The project is expected to begin the middle of October 2013 <br />3. The duration of the project is expected to be approximately 10 to 11 Months <br />4. The bridge will not be closed to traffic. During daylight hours, traffic will be reduced to one lane. During the evening, both lanes will be open to traffic. <br /> <br />Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. <br /> <br />I want to thank the members of the Township Committee, Middlesex County Board of Freeholders and the Engineering Staff for their help and hard work.
