The bulletin board was an Eagle Scout project. The Township did not pay many thousands of dollars.

The building has been scrapped and repainted many times since the 70's. Before complaining that they are lead based you may want to go to town hall and ask if a lead test was done. It may be that these are simply regular paint chips.
The township is redoing the front area after the painting so that may also be why they are less concerned (assuming no lead is in the paint).
I have never heard of the township going after a painting contractor as it's not their role and they have no authority.

Post subject: Painting The Municipal building
Has anyone in authority taken a look at the poor job being done on the painting of the Municipal Building? The contractor has failed miserably to contain the lead based paint chips and dust during the painting process. The paint is all over the landscape and parking lot. This is just one more example of the poor supervision and oversight of the taxpayers dollars. If this was a private residence on Main Street the powers that be would have been all over the contractor for failure to contain the dust and chips. If we had an administrator who knew something about the contracts she authorizes this would not have happened. And by the way can someone please tell us why the bulletin board in front of the municipal building that we paid many thousands of dollars for is not utilized and rotting away!
