Be sure to drop by Village Park in Cranbury to hear the music of six great bands, taste the great food served up by eight local food vendors, and support a worthwhile cause. Alan Stefanowicz, Rockin’ The Park concert producer, will be hosting this first ever fundraiser from 3:30-10 PM on September 19. In the event of inclement weather, a rain date has been set for September 26 (same concert times). Be one of the first fifty people to arrive at 3:30 PM to be eligible (must be 21 or older) to win a wine tasting gift certificate for ten people, compliments of the Hopewell Valley Vineyard. Food vendors include Cranbury Bagel Barn, Gil & Bert’s Ice Cream, Zinna’s Bistro, Double D Smoothies, Maglione’s Italian Ices, Northeast Kettle Corn, Girardi’s Kabobs, and the Texas Roadhouse. Rockin’ The Park will feature performances by East Brunswick School of Rock, Honey Spot Boulevard, Casino Sundae, Newborn Kings, Barbara Harley Band, and Quincy Mumford and The Reason Why. At 4PM there will be a very special opening ceremony featuring the Princeton University ROTC color guard, who will present our colors. Allison Spann (Princeton H.S. rising Senior and Cranbury resident) will accompany the color guard to sing our National Anthem. Bob Rotundo will than perform a great self-penned patriotic song. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go to the IFHF, an organization that provides medical support for our brave military men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. IFHF is in the process of building nine Intrepid Spirit Centers (medical centers) to treat these war related conditions. For additional information, be sure to visit our concert website at www.rockintheparkconcert.com, where you can read interesting articles, learn about the bands, get driving directions, and review FAQ’s. Concert admission fees are Adults ($15), Seniors 65 Plus ($10), Children 6-17 Years of Age ($5) and Children 5 and Under (FREE). Be sure to drop by the Rockin' The Park table on Cranbury Day, where you can purchase concert tickets and pick up one of your very own (beautifully designed) concert t-shirts. They come in S, M, L, and XL and are $10 each. Be sure to tell all your friends about the concert and do come out to help support our new generation of veterans.
