This closure is going to last for 270 days?! The Empire State Building was built in 410 days! What could they possibly be doing that will take so long? And something tells me they are going to use that "weather permitting" excuse as frequently as possible. We'll be lucky if this is finished before kids go back to school in 2018.

Post subject: Cranbury Neck Rd Closure
For those who are going via Cranbury Neck Rd to the Train station each day please note that you need to plan an alternate route.
From our PD:
Advisory: Long Term Road Closure in Mercer County - Cranbury Road (CR 615) Extended Bridge Closure - Mon, 8/21 for 270 days
Cranbury Road (CR615) Extended Bridge Closure - On or About Monday, August 21st for Reconstruction
Mercer County announces that Cranbury Road will be fully closed for the Replacement of Cranbury Road Bridge over Bear Brook (County Bridge 762.1) Project, starting on or about Monday, August 21st, weather permitting.
Beginning on or about Monday, August 21st, weather permitting, work will occur with the ROAD FULLY CLOSED to through traffic, between Princeton-Hightstown Road (CR 571) and Millstone Road, 24 hours a day. No traffic of any kind will be permitted to use the bridge once closed. This includes all non-motorized traffic, such as pedestrians and cyclists. The remainder of road will remain open to local traffic only and resident services (waste collection, mail, etc.). Please plan accordingly. Delays are to be expected, particularly during peak hours.
Traffic will be detoured using Clarksville Road and Princeton- Hightsto wn Road. Mercer County will be activating the new traffic signal at the intersection of Clarksville Road and Cranbury Road at this time. Total project completion is expected to take 270 days, weather permitting.
Please honor all signage and traffic control measures for your own safety and the safety of others.
