Speaking of property taxes. ---You might want to compare your taxes with other properties in town. Just go to the towns website and under departments go to assessor then click pay taxes and the type in a name or lot#. I was astonished to note Roy's taxes on 171 plainsboro road farm. There are two residences, numerous accessory /rental buildings, and the land is assessed at $225,000. which is about market but the rest of the buildings/residences in total are assessed at $73,500.!!! Total taxes are $5722.25 for 2017. How many folks in town have that tiny of a tax bill??? Maybe the new assessor can correct that------------------
I don’t think there is one. But look at how county projects are done in other towns then look at Cranbury. You can see the county does not prioritize us.

Come to a TC meeting and complain there about it in the public comment section. If you think the township should do a re-assessment, then bring it up there. Bringing it up here will not get you the results you want.

Now that we know Roy's assessment, why don't you tell us your address so we can feel bad for you?

The county doesn’t put money back. Look at what they spend for other towns and then Cranbury. We are not getting close to what the other twins get on an equal basis.

It probably doesn’t help that when the county puts some money back into Cranbury, people here complain to no end.

If you attend any TC meeting you will see Mr. Mulligan and Mr. Taylor complain about the waste and lack of value in the county outside of farmland. That the county does nothing for Cranbury. Unfortunately, the town can’t force the county to do anything in Cranbury and we’re not important to the county. We are not a large voting block and we’re out here on the border of Mercer county.
The fact is the county is useless to Cranbury.

We really don't get back what we pay from the County and the State. It is the Committee members responsibility to insure we get a fair shake. The Committee has held their own but they need to get our $$$ from the county and State----------They need to put pressure on the county reps to get our moneys worth. At this moment we are losing the "Old Timers" and their children at an alarming rate---If we do not want to be Plainsbororo or South Brunswick we need to wake up!!!!Yes that means you Mr. Scott and Mr. Ferrante and Mr. Johnson and Mr. Mulligan--------------------Stop playing games and get the job done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just heard from Mr. Taylor that due to the school and county taxes increasing the overall rate will increase 5 cents this year.
I believe the BOE budget showed a 2 cent increase so that means the county went up 3 cents which to me is a waste of money.
The municipal portion did not increase this year.

I understand the County has not yet set the rate. Like last year they are behind so we'll likely get an extended grace period.
