And if it has resisted calls to make it less anonymous and libelous in the past, there's no chance that's going to change now. I also doubt there's a plural of "admins." I suspect is one person's little side hobby. The site hasn't been updated in at least a dozen years and doesn't get any traffic, so it's pretty much running on auto-pilot at no cost. There have been a few short spurts of time when the admin has selectively deleted a few posts, not following any consistent standard of moderation, but it's been a while. <br /> <br />Years ago there was at least the pretense of this site being a place where locals could post questions or promote local events, etc., but no one ever bothered answering the "boring" posts that required being helpful, so all that is left is this pathetic back-and-forth bashing by small minded, petty people on every side. So this number isn't factual any longer and keeps being used. <br /> <br />So it is 60.00 plus the increases plus the regular operational increases and then the average home is $650K. These are things just done or discussed in the last 6 months. That excludes the bonding for the lake which in my view was needed. <br /> <br />The town went years without adding new costs and pet projects. That is why our taxes are so low. The TC this year was a race horse at the gate chomping at the bit to start spending similar to the early 2000 TC’s where spending shot up by millions and we had 3, 4 and 6 cent tax increases to pay for it. The resident taxes will be going up over the next few years to pay for these items and each item the Mayor and TC add has ongoing costs. <br /> <br />God help us if we start losing road grants, state aid is cut or worse we end up needing to fund a paid fire company. Any one of those things could severely impact our taxes. But like most TC members when the kids are all done with school they will leave the town.
