I would like to believe this rule is making sure we assign a name to that role, not hire a new person. We never budgeted for a new position in 2009.
What I want to find out is if we can designate the existing person involved in COAH to this role without increasing expense.
Unfortunately there is some legal expense for us to prepare this new regulation mandated by COAH.
Does it stipulated that we have to pay this person a specific salary or can we just hire one of the volunteers for a small token fee and includes some benefits?

I have not checked however I believe this was part of the A-500 legislation from last year. It just another part of this law which is hurting suburban towns like Cranbury and costing us the taxpayers more of our money.

As long as we're paying someone I don't care if it's part time or full time. It's money being wasted when there is a proven, experienced and qualified group of volunteers. It seems there is no desire for volunteers if we can pay people to do the work.

Does this kind of work warrant a permanent position? Or is this a part time position?
In either case, why waste my tax dollars when volunteers are available?
