Unfortunately, you're right...there are interests behind him and he comes from a large town.
Fact is, though, he seems to have been largely ineffective in the Assembly, period. Not just ineffective for Cranbury. We'll see who is advanced on the Rep. ticket. Aside from the Hamilton councilwoman, I have not been impressed with any of the preliminary names that were tossed around.

Understatement of the year. It's not even a matter in dispute that he has in fact done NOTHING for us. He has never once voted on an issue in a way that favors Cranbury, never once attended any Cranbury functions (he has been invited), never once even attempted to comunicate on any matter to Cranbury citizens and doesn't even bother to response to letters, emails or calls from Cranbury residents.
he's not even pretending to represent or care about Cranbury. He is a full-time employee of a Union who was elected by the efforts of the Unions who firmly understands that his purpose is the represent the interests of the Unions. Plain-and-simple. From his POV, we're not his constiuents unless we belong to the Union.
But if you want to beat him, you're going to have to overcome the influence of the Union machine.

Post subject: District assembly race
Story on politickernj.com this morning (see link below) regarding the assembly race in our district. Kelly Yaede, a Hamilton council member, was seen by some as a logical republican candidate. But she is not running, which means it is unclear who might run against DeAngelo and Greenstein. The Mercer republicans hold their convention tomorrow...not sure who they will put forward. I wonder who Middlesex's republican convention will nominate.
I hope it is someone solid...Deangelo has done little for us and needs to move on. He seems to need more time to blow up giant inflatable rats for his union anyway.
