Post subject: CRANBURY: Pet rescue tour to visit Cranbury
David Kilby, Managing Editor
CRANBURY — The Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue Tour will make the seventh of eight nationwide stops in Cranbury tomorrow at the “Because Your Dog is Worth it Too Day” at the L’Oreal Paris’ U.S. distribution center.
The tour aims to help raise funds and awareness for local pet rescue groups and find permanent homes for dogs and cats in need.
The tour is part of a larger campaign known as Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue. The campaign raises funds and awareness for 500 pet rescue organizations nationwide via local adoption events. In addition to helping find homes for more than 400,000 pets since 2005, Pro Plan has provided more than $1 million to local pet rescue programs in support of the Rally to Rescue program during the past two years.
This fifth annual Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue Tour is focused on helping pets in need through three calls to action — adopt, volunteer and give.
A global manufacturer of pet products, Nestlé Purina PetCare is part of Swiss-based Nestlé S.A.
