Cranbury School is getting ready to find a new business administrator.

Current administrator Carol Eversole said Monday that she intends to announce her resignation in the coming weeks. She said she plans to leave the position as soon as possible because of illness.

Ms. Eversole, who has been with the district since December 2006, intends to stay on as acting business administrator and board secretary for as long as she is able or until her replacement is found, she said.

The Cranbury School District has placed an ad in the Star Ledger searching for qualified candidates for immediate hiring.

The position’s annual salary is $106,000, said John Haney, Cranbury School’s chief administrator and principal.

He said he could not comment on any details concerning Ms. Eversole’s resignation until it becomes official.
