Selected by 14th District Democrats over weekend

Democrat Daniel J. Benson of Hamilton Monday was sworn in as the newest member of the state Assembly.

Benson, 35, will represent the 14th District, which includes Cranbury, Hamilton, Jamesburg, Monroe, Plainsboro, South Brunswick and West Windsor. He was selected by the district's Democratic activists over the weekend to fill the seat vacated by Linda Greenstein who was elected to the state Senate in November.
