If people stop subscribing sooner or later a business decision will be made that it's unprofitable and the Press will go away. We already have a smaller paper and staff than a few years ago. <br /> <br />The Press is really our source for detailed news and information. The town has two other official newspapers the Trenton Times who told me that we're too small for them to cover and the Home News who said we're not in their coverage area. If the Press ceases we will be hard pressed to get information other than what we hear over back yard fences or through conversations around town. <br /> <br />John and Maria informed us of their view when we issued the release and while disappointed, I do agree with the decision based on their reasoning. At the same time, they have published our letters to the editor. They both have worked hard to be fair all around. While it would have been nice to do a feature story when Jay Taylor and Dan Mulligan announced their candidacy, I can understand the paper's rationale for not doing it.
