Shortly after Major Malik Nadal Hasan and two other unnamed shooters allegedly opened fire at the largest U.S. military installation in the world, Ft. Hood in Texas, President Barack Obama held a press conference to address the issue. Before getting around to the shooting that has already claimed a dozen lives and wounded at least 31 people, he began his remarks by saying: I want to thank my Cabinet members and senior administration officials who participated today. I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow (ph) was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It’s good to see you. The quotation says it all: our commander-in-chief feels there is no event so serious that it cannot be prefaced by a moment of glib hipness, no solemn loss so sacred he will deny himself a moment of wry self-indulgence. Soldiers were killed? Let’s say hi to Joe first. An entire theater of war needs a plan to defeat the terrorists who struck America on 9/11? No reason I can’t go golfing, shoot some hoops, and hit the town with Michelle. President Bush used to break into tears when addressing soldiers and was reviled as a stone-hearted warmonger; Donald Rumsfeld was demonized for using a machine to sign notification letters to fallen soldiers’s next-of-kin. President Obama gives out rounds of virtual fist-bumps to his buds before even mentioning a slaughter of American soldiers, perpetrated by Americans, in mid-America. We desperately need an adult in the White House. Sadly, today’s press conference proves we do not have one. (Incidentally, the shooter — who killed 12 people with two handguns — is reportedly a convert to Islam incensed about being sent to war.)
Democrats stink!
But, the gop is MUCH worse.
Democrats are inept.........republicans are sneaky.
The gop is mostly responsible for the hole we've gotten into. Whether it's phony wars, financial crisis, economic malaise, healthcare debacle...........they are just HORRID people. Obama is a politician, but, he seems to trying to do the right thing. When the pin-headed frat-boy had the job, he looked like the bosses idiot son who couldn't tie his own frickin' shoelace!
It's just that the lunatic fringe wing-nuts never give him a break. But, they let pinhead slide on almost every issue.
Are you upset that Obama bowed to a Japanese guy?
What silly nonsense will upset you this week?

Funny, how do you view your own posts? Your comments defending Obama are the same as can be said about you regarding anything Republican in the slightest.
BTW, I am not a Bush supporter, but there is no way he got a free ride. To think so is either showing a strong bias or is just not reading any news or seeing any news the last 8 years. Obama has gotten a free ride the past year.

Bush chose to continue to read to elementary school children when 9/11 happened.
What are you trying to do with this post? How does your post help anything? My response to your post doesn't help, or accomplish anything positive. We can argue back and forth what Obama does and what Bush did, and how Clinton was horrible, and how it is all Reagan's fault.

Obama was holding a pre-scheduled press conference at the Department of Interiors Tribal Nation Conference to discuss Native American issues. That’s what is being referenced in your out-of-context quote in thanking his Cabinet members for “participating” and in acknowledging a Nobel Prize winning representative of the Native American community.
Argue all you want about whether his comment or tone was inappropriate but you don’t need to skew the facts to make your point.
