I would like you to be my neighbor.
What is the length of your sidewalk?
I bet there is a relationship between the length of the sidewalk and the willingness to shovel the thick layers of snow. |
|
If someone doesn't want to shovel snow don't live in a snow zone, or they should have considered a house with a shorter public sidewalk if they felt that way. It's shouldn't be an excuse to be a bad neighbor or local citizen. |
Yes, I agree with you in theory. In practice, not everyone thinks like you or me. |

That is more of a North Main Street Attitude then Shadow Oaks. |
Why would you assume North Main? There are a lot of modest homes along North Main. |
And many big ones too. |
Really? I would have guessed that South Main had more bigger lot homes than North Main. 1 North Main is big but it's kind of the esception. It's North Main that has more duplexes and has apartments. How many homes on North Main are bigger than the average home in Shadow Oaks. I would guess very few. |
What about that cul de sac just off north main. They have some really big homes their. I bet they have lots of staff and servants. Are their sidewalks shoveled? |
But that's not "North Main" that is "Silvers Lane" a completely different neighborhood of modern homes that has nothing to do with North Main. If you're really looking for the "rich zone" though you need to reference Lenape Court off of Petty. But what's the point anyway? What does home size or value have to do with this topic? |

I shoveled my walk just to be a good neighbor. Then again, I don't live in Shadow Oaks (or on Main St.). |

The original poster didn't say anything about calling the police. And keeping the sidewalks clear is a safety issue not just an eye sore like trash or papers. I would guess the person who posted must walk on those sidewalks or they wouldn't have noticed. You seem a bit hostile. |

Ha! That's right. The same neighborhood that wants to horde public land are the ones not shoveling their public sidewalks. I guess they get the good neighbors award all around. |
Oh yeah.....well......you must live on main street. |
Nope. But what's your point? |

If we mark the easements in Shadow Oaks the homeless will use them! |
