Someone standing on the curb before entering the cross walk does not. <br /> <br />The pedestrian must be completely across and out of the cross walk, before the vehicle may cross. <br /> <br />Brother in law is a police officer and was on detail last couple days doing this. Perhaps they will find posting snide remarks on a forum to be more fulfilling. <br /> <br />On point, there have been a few pedestrian/bicycle vs. auto accidents on Main St in recent years. While I think our town enjoys greater courtesy of pedestrians in cross walks than some other towns I go to, we can improve.
