He received 8,303 votes in the county and 158,692 in the state. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee garnered 36 votes in Cranbury, 187 votes in Monroe and 23 votes in Jamesburg. He received 2,703 votes in the county and 45,699 votes statewide, while U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, of Texas, received 17 votes in Cranbury, 112 votes in Monroe and 16 votes in Jamesburg. He received 1,709 votes in the county and 26,913 votes in the state. Among Democratic voters interviewed by The Cranbury Press at the polls who said they voted for Sen. Voters in the area largely fell in line with those statewide, most of them giving their primary votes to U.S. Sens. Hillary Clinton and John McCain on Tuesday.
Sen. Clinton, D-N.Y., received 286 votes in Cranbury, 5,709 votes in Monroe, 281 votes in Jamesburg, 32,013 votes in the delegate district and 597,329 votes statewide.
