CRANBURY — Production assistants for Fox reality show, “Kitchen Nightmares,” told Cranbury residents to ignore the cameras blocking Main Street on Saturday during the show’s taping of a mock farmers market.

”Kitchen Nightmares,” featuring celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, came to Cranbury last week to make over Hannah & Mason’s restaurant on North Main Street.

Over the course of one week Mr. Ramsay, with the help of his crew, remade Hannah & Mason’s from a stuffy local restaurant into a downtown bistro featuring local ingredients, said owner Chris Posner.

On “Kitchen Nightmares,” the famous chef travels around the country visiting different restaurants to help them better handle the stresses of running a successful food business, according to the show’s Web site. The Web site also says that Mr. Ramsay galvanizes the restaurant’s owners, chefs and kitchen staff to turn around a restaurant’s fortunes in just one week.

In an effort to highlight the new emphasis on local products, the “Kitchen Nightmares” crew staged a farmers market highlighting farmers from around the area.
