He encouraged vaccination and both he and our police chief highlighted that children, people with high risk health conditions, the elderly and first responders were the priority from the CDC and state to receive vaccinations. Currently in NJ we have 800,000 doses of vaccine for over 8 million people. He highlighted how the volunteer fire department is having trouble staffing fire calls during the day.
