CRANBURY — PNC Bank’s 32 N. Main St. branch is closing up shop March 7 and moving to a new location on Route 130.

PNC will open March 8 at 2664 Route 130, about half a mile down the road at what was once a Yardville National Bankcorp branch, said Ed Kozmor, PNC spokesman.

”The next day it will be business as usual,” he said. “It will be seamless to (customers).”

PNC consolidated with Bankcorp in June, leaving the company to consider the future of the Cranbury branch, Mr. Kozmor said.

”In this acquisition we look at what is best for our customer,” he said.

Mr. Kozmor said three factors contributed to the bank branch move.

”I think location is one aspect. It’s convenient to go into and get off of 130. It’s prominently located and it’s a newer branch,” he said.

”PNC has a good relationship with Cranbury and we want to continue that,” he said.
