Tonight at 7:30 p.m. we are holding a library forum where we want to hear what you think is important in a new community library.
The Cranbury Public Library Board of Trustees, the Cranbury Foundation, and library staff have been talking a lot about the plans for a new library. Over the past 5 years we have done an assessment, visited other libraries and read about the latest library trends. We have met with architects to discuss ideas and what we think would be needed in a new building. Together we have come up with a basic plan – but before we go any further we want your input!
At the library forum on October 22 we will present the designs we have so far. We will have sample floor plans detailing the type of spaces we envision in the new library: comfortable reading areas, children, tween and teen spaces, a large public community room, and smaller work and study rooms. But we want to know if we missed anything. What is most important to you?
We will also have drawings of what the outside of the building may look like. Do you like the modern look or prefer the plan that looks more like a barn cluster? This is your chance to tell us.
