fyi	Posted: Tue, Oct 21 2014, 10:12 pm EDT    Post subject: Autumn leaf collection will begin October 27th AUTUMN LEAF COLLECTION Autumn leaf collection will begin October 27th and will continue up through the last full week in December. Residents may place leaves between the sidewalk and curb. Tall ornamental grass can be collected using the leaf vacuum, but please keep this item separated. Branches, vines, grass clippings and other debris cannot be collected with the leaf vacuum. If these items are mixed in with the leaf pile, the DPW will not collect them. These items pose a safety issue and can break the equipment. Be watchful of placement of the debris at the curb, non-point source pollution (NPS) if washed down the storm drains can occur. During the final leaf collection week of December 30th, once the leaf pile has been collected, do not replenish it. The DPW is giving attention to complete the collection task before inclement weather arrives. Thank you for your cooperation.
