I hope everyone enjoyed the first day of skating. I want to thank Public Works, our Township Administrator Denise Marabello, police and Cranbury Fire Company for their hard work getting the skating ready. The Cranbury Fire Company volunteers took their time to provide lighting this evening and will try to do so as long as we have skating. When they are able to light the ice we'll be able to skate from 7:30am until 9pm. If there is no lighting then skating will need to stop at dusk. I have been asked if we can bring back the music by many residents. We'll see what we can do in that regard. We're all hopeful that we'll be able to skate all through the next week. Jay
Loved the skating today! The kids had a blast! It didn't matter that it was freezing cold, we all had a great time! Thanks to everyone who made it possible!

Passed by the lake today. I observed at least 20-30 skaters. It looked just like an old time photo and conjured up memories of the days when I used to take to the ice. Although it was quire brisk today, I don't think anyone could have convinced those kids to come inside.

In speaking with our head of Public Works and Twp. Administrator today the ice is very close to the thickness required to allow skating.
As such, we began to prep the ice today in the hope we'll be able to allow skating over the holiday weekend. Please look for the flag on Main St. to indicate whether skating is allowed.
