maybe they had difficulties because of the rain - it might have made them smoke more than usual. I agree they were not as good. Also there was no wind to blow away the smoke, so from where we were sitting, you couldn't see alot of the fireworks because of the smoke. Hopefully next year will be better!
Post subject: Re: Summer concert and fireworks display featuring Mercer County Symphonic Band
The smoke blocked things. However, I don't think there's room for complaining. It was bad weather, but this is one of the great things that the town does and it's an event that everyone turns out to see. I remember too many years of driving to the Princeton Soccer fields and then Mercer County park. The fact that Cranbury does it when so many towns don't is great.
I can't until next year and hopefully better weather.

Funny, from the bridge everyone around me thougt they were better than last year. I thought they seemed about the same but the bottom line is people seemed satisfied. Maybe the smoke was more of a problem from the park view.

Post subject: Summer concert and fireworks display featuring Mercer County Symphonic Band
The Cranbury Historical & Preservation Society along with the Cranbury Cultural & Heritage Committee, present a summer concert and fireworks display featuring the Mercer County Symphonic Band in Village Park, located off Maplewood Avenue, on Saturday, July 5th. Please plan to join other members of the community along with your family and friends to celebrate our great country's independence in patriotic style. Bring along a picnic dinner, lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray to enjoy an evening of summer fun beginning at 7 P.M. followed by fireworks at dusk. In the event of rain, festivities will be held Sunday, July 6.
