I agree with the last poster. I don’t know why these folks moved here. Seems all they do is complain. We always had a healthy but friendly political environment. We’ve never stooped to the depths that we are in now. I’ve been here my entire life, and I’ve never seen such hatred and ridiculous nonsensical comments being thrown out here about our township committee. It never mattered whether you were a democrat or republican. What mattered was you cared about Cranbury. Quite honesty, I don’t think these folks understand what makes Cranbury unique and why they moved here in the first place. |

This town is not the town we all grew up in - these people do not know what they are destroying. Makes me sick!!! |

The lake is the center point of the town. Our park is centered on it, our history is centered on it. If we let the lake dry up we lose a large part of our town. And again as I point out every time you post you clearly have an unhealthy obsession with Jay. You complained you did not get a tax rebate and now the lake. |

Clearly this is Jay posting. The lake is needed for the whole town is the best joke I heard today. |

You clearly have no clue how it works or what is entailed in getting grants. From everything I read Jay has taken no credit and explained why Glenn was key. Right here it says Jay credited Glenn and Dan benson. https://www.monroenow.com/news/local/cranbury/new-jersey-awards-m-more-for-future-brickyard-road-project/article_a2fc2814-ae85-11e9-ad0b-9bbf8e69cef5.html
You Indivisible people just can’t accept that Glenn helped the town and by voting him out we may now be harmed.
Liberty way is a 50/50 project with the town and county that 10 years ago was over 10 million dollars. I can’t imagine the cost today. Is it needed yes. Is it something the town can do alone. No.
The lake is needed for the whole town and is something the town can do and has allocated funds for. |

Quite frankly a large part of the responsibility for acquiring Grants and State aid lies with the Township Administrator. If the Mayor and Committee do not push the administrator, as is done in East Windsor [look up East Windsor grants Janice Mironov], we will be at the bottom of the trough just waiting for a few crumbs. The Brickyard Road money was due to a push from the warehouse developer and Glenn and Jay just took the credit.
Cranbury has failed miserably in acquiring real Grant money except for the simple cutsey, easy Grants for things on Main Street. Until we get an administrator who really has the professional background and track record to oversee grant applications we will never get our fair share of the tax money we send to the state and county.
When the warehouse traffic gridlocks route 130 and you can no longer move traffic on Main Steet then all of a sudden the Liberty Way Bridge will be a priority. In the meantime we will be spending 7 million to dredge the lake for a few residents that live lakeside--what is wrong with that picture? |

Isn’t the job of Jay and dan to look out for their interests? Or are they supposed to say everything is great? At the state level the leaders in the Dem party themselves don’t agree. Are they also bashing our representatives individually? I don’t think so. They seem to have a good relationship with our elected state and county leaders. What will the Indivisible people offer? Do they know where and when to push? I will bet you’ll see nothing in the way of grants like these next year. |

Even more impressive considering Jay and Dan complain about the State and/or the county at every TC meeting. |

Here is my concern. Cranbury is surrounded by large towns in our county that the freeholders need on their side to get re-elected. We don’t have meaningful voters just 4K total residents and less voters. That is what the county and state look at when making decisions on grants and road work unless there are established connections.
What happens next year when we have 4 members of the TC who do not know anyone personally at the state and county level? How will we get the grants we need for roads when only one person has connections and the officials know he’s a lame duck? What we are getting will dry up and go to the towns with voters and connections.
The grants and money we’re obtaining took years of relationship building. Now we’ll be at square one and local tax payers will be subject to covering the cost. It is a case where a group won the battle, but the town lost the war. |

I assume Anon 0093 was being sarcastic. Regardless, we lost a dedicated and valuable member of the township committee when Glenn lost in the primary. I just hope that whoever replaces him understands the responsibility and work that lies ahead. |

Then I look at the Press release and Mr. Johnson was able to work with the State to get us a $1 million dollar grant to do Brickyard rd. So now tax payers do not have to pay for Petty or Brickyard at all. Saving the tax payers millions in debt.
Yet, Indivisible and the Dems vote him out in the primary. They scream don’t give us a tax cut pay down debt, but by getting these roads done we avoided debt and got a tax cut.
Used to be a time when a politician who saved tax payers this much was thrown a parade and pushed for higher office. |
Who cares about Glenn's hundreds of hours of dedication, his decade of service and his skill and determination and success making Cranbury a better place for ALL of us?
He hurt my feelings when he described his efforts to recruit women to run for Township Committee and for that HE MUST BE PUNISHED! |
