So the tax revenue is stable. <br /> <br />Paying off debt to equal the amount of money we got in terms of a tax reduction would have required a lot more money to be spent. <br /> <br />The tax reduction put money in the homeowners hands last year and this which is what is needed in a recession if we enter one. It is actually what the progressive Democratic Representatives are trying to do with stimulus. <br /> <br />And last I recalled Glenn and Dan are no longer on the TC so This TC could have undone the tax cut and used the funds to pay down whatever debt they wanted.
