Post subject: COAH CHAOS...
A friend sent me this interesting item about COAH / Affordable Housing Issues in West Windsor...
"Sixteen families in the Walden Woods development near the Princeton Junction train station have filed an appeal with COAH, challenging West Windsor's claim that affordable housing restrictions remain in force until 2028, although some may be off the restricted rolls by 2018. But property owners say deeds indicate only 10 years of restrictions. The restrictions have expired, they say, and Walden Woods property owners should be able to get market value for the homes they built through a federal "sweat equity" project called Bootstraps."
"Township officials strongly disagree and point the finger at Walden Woods Bootstraps developer Jay Tyson, who they say misled the buyers and didn't live up to agreements for the development, a charge the developer denies. And just to further complicate matters, COAH has said that restrictions should last until 2028."
