Standard testing should be done for, including, but not limited to, nitrates, <br />BOD, phosphates and fecal coliform. <br /> <br />Rabies Protocol – Cat Licenses – Mr. Butler provided copies of Ordinances from other <br />municipalities for the Board’s review. Chairwoman Coyle advised that she spoke with Christine Smeltzer, Township Administrator, regarding the possibility of implementing licensing for cats and <br />was advised that the Township has previously addressed this issue. Chairwoman Coyle will <br />contact Pari Stave, the Township Committee Board of Health Liaison. Dr. Notterman stressed the <br />fact that the Township Committee needs to be well informed of the ramifications of not licensing <br />cats. <br /> <br />Dog Census – Mr. Longo advised that there was almost full compliance from residents in <br />connection with the dog summonses. Out of the total summonses issued, only three residents were <br />charged with failure to appear in court. <br /> <br />Needs Assessment – Christine Smeltzer, Township Administrator, provided a Memorandum <br />to the Board advising that the First Aid Squad receives $70,000.00 annually from the Township. <br />The Board opined that the First Aid Squad should be required to do some type of reporting, mainly <br />for the purpose of being able to plan for growth. Chairwoman Coyle will contact Pari Stave for <br />recommendations on how to get information from the First Aid Squad. <br /> <br />Senior Center Health Screenings – Dr. Robyn Notterman is available on May 30, 2008, at <br />1:00 p.m. to conduct dermatologist and skin screenings. A privacy screen will need to be provided <br />as well as a nurse to help. <br /> <br />AED Equipment in Public Places – Dr. Shakun reported that Four Seasons and the <br />Cranbury Presbyterian Church have AED equipment, but the Cranbury Methodist Church does not. <br />Dr. Shakun will contact St. David’s Episcopal Church and the Chimmaya Mission to inquire if they <br />have AED equipment. <br /> <br />Mrs. Gerberich spoke to the Mayor, who advised that the Township Committee should <br />purchase AED equipment for Town Hall and the Friends of the Library should be asked to purchase <br />equipment for the Library. Training on the equipment would need to be provided and someone <br />would have to be responsible for the apparatus and testing. Mrs. Gerberich suggested that training <br />be held in conjunction with the training held at Cranbury School run by CentraState.
