I live on Main St. and there is at least one transformer that blows a year, it's a loud bang the power flicks on and off then goes off. There is never an update on any website because it's considered part of regular every day occurances that happen and they deal with just like a down power line so they'd be spending all day updating their web with service calls. If you call PSEG they will tell you what happened. |

Has there been no comment(s) from the power company or police for that matter? |
Not on their websites. The power companies website doesn't even seem setup to provide any information about outages, the way that the cable company is, etc. I believe the CEO of the power company lives in Cranbury. Perhaps someone knows him and can ask. |

A little while after the first outage there was a hiecopter cycling the area with a spotlight. I have no idea if that was a coincidence or not. |

Hopefully not another car bomb. Most likely a transformer. |

It happened twice. The first time there was an explosion somewhere in Cranbury and lasted for 5 seconds (10:45pm maybe). The second time it happened about 1/2 hour later for a duration of about 15 minutes. Not sure what happened. |

I'm a student at PHS and woke up a little later than usual to find that my alarms never went off. This means that it happened more than once. |

Anyone know what is up with all the power outages tonight? It seems like an odd night with no real wind or storm or heat wave, etc.
How broad an area was affected? |
