It's in a mix use zone that can be residential or commercial. I saw their kitchen when it was new and it was like out of a magazine.

Based on the lack of upkeep for the rest of the property, I doubt it's in the same condition now. The building looks like it's ready to collapse in places, the paint is peeling and it generally looks like it has been neglected for quite some time. I can't imagine anyone would want to take on that kind of renovation project.

I hope a nice restaurant comes in. I enjoyed the Blue Rooster and it was nice to see someone who grew up here come back to try and run a business.

Sounds about right...They were snobs.

At thispoint the Blue Rooster is gone so lets let sleeping dogs lie. Whatever anyone thought is meaningless as the owners did what they needed to do to move on with their lives. Some businesses have made it in Cranbury and many have not. All folks are entitled to seek their dream and some will succeed and some will not. Lets just say we all have to take that chance and hope for the best. Sometimtes failure at one thing leads to great things after we get experience. Wish them the best and lets hope we find a more permanent modern day use for that location.---Peace

They have been trying to sell for a while. It's always harder to sell a business when it's closed, especially a restaurant. And it would take quite a bit of work to revert it back into a single-family home or even a non-food business. I think we'll be looking at that gigantic For Sale sign for a long time. I just hope they gave their employees some type of notice. If they didn't, that would be the final insult.

I am sad to see this business close. It offered a different type of restaurant to Cranbury and I only hope the new owners will see it continue.

How can anyone be surprised by this? Despite all that they promised, the Blue Rooster did nothing to contribute to Cranbury. I was particularly disappointed how poorly the local patrons and workers were treated. Now the town is left with another for sale sign. However I would be shocked if anyone would consider putting the money up to own another restaurant there. Bad idea. Poor planning.

We're so sad to hear about this - their mini pastry basket was amazing and we always had attentive and friendly service, even with our 2 young children. This is horrible - praying that someone comes in and keeps it up. Main Street needs charming places like Blue Rooster.

Did the owners even tell anyone they were closing? Or did they just close up shop without any warning? We were just there a few weeks ago and did not hear anything about this. Weird!

I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did with the horribly rude attitudes of the owners. Not sad to see the Blue Rooster go away!
