Just a why this is a good idea. When we moved into our home a few years ago we went around and changed all the batteries. The prior owner had marked the batteries on when they were changed. Many had a date that was older than 3 years.
It is also a good idea to look at the manufactur date at this time. We change our alarms every 5 years though the life span can be as much as 10 years. We too found alarms that were from the early 90's. They were older than my kids at the time. |
