I think this is a wonderful idea especially in this economy. The pantry is being asked to help more and more people so this raises funds to allow them to do this. Cranbury Delights a local business is involved which is great because they are showing residents they want to give back to the community. I am looking forward to these events and hope the rest of Cranbury will join me.

PS The other nice thing is that it opens on 9/11 showing a positive thing on a tragic day.

Post subject: New Cranbury Coffee House Set to Open
The "new" Cranbury coffee house will be opening its doors on Friday, September 11, 2009. Located in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, the coffee house will be featuring "live" entertainment. A host of music styles such as rhythm & blues, soft rock, folk, celtic, ragtime, children's, swing, big band and jazz will be presented.
The coffee house will be operative from September through June and be held the second Friday of every month from 7:00-9:30 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Admission will be $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
Cranbury Delights, a local Main Street old-world style pastry and ice cream shop, will be on hand to provide refreshments for each event. Items such as sandwich wraps, hot dogs, popcorn, pastries, pies, and assorted beverages will be available at an additional cost. A portion of the proceeds from kitchen sales will help benefit the local food pantry.
Come out and and spend an evening in a comfortable and relaxed environment with other members of your community. Live entertainment, all within a short walk or drive from home.
If you would like more information regarding the coffee house and want to see a calendar of upcoming events, please take a moment to visit the coffee house website at
www.cranburycoffeehouse.com.
See you in September!
