Those of you who want to complain about his friends riding their motorcycles in town to pay their respects, please do me a favor and call me (7573731069). I would love to talk to you. You people would not dare disrespect a firefighter or an EMS if all the fire trucks and ambulances rode down main street blasting their sirens! Would you???? I didn't think so! I do not want to stoop to the level of the original posters on this site but you complainers are absolute.........nevermind, I wont say what I think of you on this site. You are all extremely pathetic. You people have no respect at all!!!!PLEASE call me if you have the guts instead of talking junk on the internet, but I bet not one of you anonymous posters will because if you are intelligent people you know that nothing you can say at this point can take back your ignorant selfish comments that are ridiculous. You should be ashamed!!! Because we are of you!!!
I agree !!!! I wonder if anyone called, I bet you not.
LOL - Probably didnt call you!!! these people on here hide behind their computers, they would never confront someone face to face!! NEVER!!

You know, I have an "illegally modified" T-shirt with a harley on it that has straight pipes. I say the t-shirt is "illegally modified" cause I tore the sleeves off it. I told the police but it seemed like they didn't care, they just turned up there "boombox's" really loud and started rocking out.

Will you people just let it rest? Geez. I can't believe I keep bothering to even read these posts. Both sides of this spat overreached and now neither seems to want to let it die.
The original poster probably didn't even know anything about Mr. Nobile's wake and all the comments critical of the noise subsequently at no point were directed toward Mr. Nobile. Why keep painting it as an attack on him when it had nothing to do with him? Calm down. You are overreacting. You took offense for the wrong reason, then fanned the problem by getting into an argument over whether loud motorcycles are the as American as apple pie or a public nuisance. If your concern was respect for Mr. Nobile then why engage on the issue of motorcycle noise in the first place? Just stay focused on, “Excuse me, maybe you didn’t realize it but the motorcycles were in town as part of a service for along time resident named George Nobile and not to disturb anyone and please respect this moment to honor him.” There, was that so hard? I bet the thread would have ended right then. But you can’t have it both ways. You can’t then provoke them by trying to call them names and say they are terrible for not liking loud motorcycles then take offense that they are disrespecting Mr. Nobile every time they reply to you on that point. That’s just provoking a fight then acting wronged when you get what you provoked.
On the other hand, clearly the original poster seems to have over reached and over stated. If the post was complaining about a perpetual problem of loud motorcycles hanging out in town or if they had a particular reason this occasion had caused them real harm, perhaps. But they appear to have jumped on the internet almost immediately to vent about something before it was clear if it was just temporary or what it was for. Then either they or someone else fanned the over reaction by grossly exaggerating it claiming it went on constantly for three hours and was “disrupting school.” What’s the point of being so over the top, especially when there are plenty of other people reading here who also live on Main Street and would have known you were exaggerating right away? My kids were at the school and they were not “disrupted.” Next time perhaps take a deep breath before rushing to post your frustration so you have a moment to decide if you have a real “issue” or are just annoyed. If the latter, you’re probably not well served trying to turn it into an “issue” here.
Now can we please just all move on?

To all of you who have posted on this site, listen up... those of you who have stood on the side of what makes this town great...i.e. men like George Nobile;... thank you... to those of you who have complained, just stop. This was a beloved man who did a great deal for this town... next time you call the police or need a fire truck at your house or an EMT, please remember that this man is part of why those men and women are there. He not only took care of his family and friends, but the entire community. He gave more money and time to this town than you ever will and donated not only his time to those who needed but his heart to so many. Some families in his town have been here for more than 50 years. So all of you NEWBY's take a note from this man and understand that you live in a town where friends and neighbors stick together. If 50 wreckers and 4 motorcycles pay tribute to a man, than so be it. DEAL!!! And take a page from his book... love thy neighbor an always take the time to help the person next to you!!!

I believe the poster means that they are Illegal in Cranbury (and many other towns that have noise ordinances).

Those complaining about the noise...BOOO HOOOO !!!!!!!
I was there and it was not loud. And to clarify from the original post there were only FOUR bikes that I saw. They did not rev their engines. You are definitely over sensitive and need to stop your whining now PLEASE!!!
I also liked the post where the bikes revved their engines for three hours disrupting the school, and some sick child. That is funny since the wake was only 2 hours long during the school hours and again the bikes were turned off once they were parked.
Can the whiners let us all move on now and let George Nobil rest in peace !

There is a huge difference between things that emit noise due to the nature of their operation or biology (leaf blowers, garbage collection, babies, dogs, etc.) and devices that are modified to make as much noise as possible for the sole purpose attracting attention so people will notice them. It's obnoxious. I can't believe the twisted logic in saying that anyone should "live with" this noise. I feel sorry for people that need attention so badly that they resort to this sort of thing (same goes for thumping car stereos, tuned pipes on cars, etc.) It's just childish and inconsiderate. That is why there are laws against it.
Be vewwy quiet

Yes! Let's get rid of leaf collection, garbage collection, those horrible bikes, my crappy neighbors who use those leaf blower thingies. What else? Crying babies! Barking dogs!
Maybe it's easier to buy earplugs.
