After a few months of time passing at a snail's pace, it seems to me like July has flown by. <br /> <br />First, let me share some public health information. Reported new cases of COVID-19 in the state had leveled off at 200-300 per day in early-mid July from previous highs of 2,000-4,000 per day in April and May. In recent days, however, they have trended upward to 400-500 per day. While it may seem that the crisis has moved on to other parts of the country, we are not done fighting this virus in New Jersey. Do your part to keep yourself and your neighbors safe by wearing a mask in public, social distancing, and continuing to follow CDC guidance. <br /> <br />COVID-19 will continue to re-orient the school experience for our children in the fall. Cranbury School and the Princeton school district have both released proposed reopening plans. <br /> <br />Information about Cranbury School's reopening plan can be here. <br /> <br />School leadership will also hold two town hall meetings this Wednesday, at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, to review the plan. Registration is required. Details can be found here. <br /> <br />Princeton's reopening plan can be found here. <br /> <br />As part of their reopening plan, Cranbury School will be reclaiming the space within the school building that currently houses the Cranbury Public Library. While the town anticipates the building of a new, dedicated library at Park Place North, the library must now vacate the school building by August 15 and find a temporary space to move into. This will likely include one location open to the public, initially for curbside pick-up, and separate location to house their inventory. A number of options are being considered by the Library Board and the Township, and we don't want to miss out on good ideas - if you have suggestions, please contact me. <br /> <br />The new Cranbury Economic and Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) has been meeting weekly and is full of ideas! They will also be surveying the community soon, so be on the lookout in your email for that. They'll present to the public for the first time at a September Township Committee meeting. <br /> <br />We continue to hold our Township Committee meetings virtually.
