Unfortunately, I am not able to run such distances any more, but I would like to donate to building this track. Sounds like a good thing for Cranbury, and a very worthwhile project. Where can I send a check?

On August 18th, I hosted a 5K Road Run fundraiser for my Eagle Scout Project, which is to build a 100-meter, 2-lane track at the Cranbury School. Despite the scorching heat, we had over 20 volunteers and over 70 participants! The run was a great success.

I would like to thank all of the participants very much. Everybody was very enthusiastic and the atmosphere was really energetic. Our first place runner, Chris Vasseur of Princeton, NJ, finished at 17:44. We had participants of all ages and even a few as young as 2nd grade. All of the runners ran a great race in the summer heat and it was a joy to watch the day unfold.

I would also like to thank the volunteers. We had many Scouts and non-scouts volunteer to help out during the race. They were all enthusiastic and cooperative and I could not have pulled off the race without their help. Also, I would like to thank Sergeant Frank Dillane of the Cranbury Police Department for all of his help with setting up the race.

The race would not have been possible without my immense amount of donor and sponsor help. I would like to thank all of the sponsors who contributed to my fundraiser: Allen & Stults Co., Brennan Law Firm, Brinkerhoff Environmental Services, Inc., Carnegie Mortgage, Complete Care Maintenance, The Crowe Family, Georges Garage And Towing, Inc., the Helene Cody Foundation, Hudson Environmental Services, Inc., Main Street Interiors, McDonald Construction Corp., Peggy Brennan – Coldwell Banker Realtors, Premier Abstract & Title Agency, Inc., Plant Food Co. Inc., Princeton Nassau Pediatrics, R. Fuessel Pump & Tank, Inc., Richard Grubb & Associates, Inc., Stasi & Co. LLC, Stuart Alexander, D.M.D., Tindall & Ranson Plumbing, Heating & A/C, Triangle Copy East Windsor, The Preferred Tank Group, LLC and William T. Lubas. In addition, I would like to thank the following donors: Tim Summiel, the Carroll family, the Golubieski family, the Helstrom family, Jay Dwyer, Harold Gattsek, Norma Gattsek, Tim Brennan, Cranbury Pizza, and Donna Cetrulo.
Once again, I would like to thank everyone that helped make this event possible; all of the hard work will help build Cranbury's first track. It was a great day and I can't wait to begin work on the track. We plan to break ground in the fall!

Sincerely,

Michael Brennan
