Enjoyed opening night at the Cranbury Coffee House today. The band was great, enjoyed the blues and a bit of swing at the end. Barbecue Bob & the spareribs think Bob lives here in cranbury. Great idea to bring music into the village, now if we could only BYOWine, that would be even better.

I agree. Opening night at the coffee house was great. The band was great and it was really nice of so many people to volunteer, especially the folks from Cranbury Delights. They served up all those tasty treats and didn't even get to see the show. Here's to good neighbors, live music, tasty treats and worthy causes!

Not even mother nature could deter those hearty souls who ventured out into last night's soaking rain to help kickoff the first season of the "new" Cranbury Coffee House. Spirits were high as Barbecue Bob & the Spareribs took to the stage to deliver their titillating brand of Rockabilly & Blues favorites. People could be seen swaying in their chairs to the melodies and tapping their hands on the tables to the pulsating beat.

Refreshments (provided by the good folks at Cranbury Delights) at intermission time hit the spot as people began lining up at the counter for their brand new Cranbury Coffee House mugs, filled to the brim with delicious hot java. One concert goer was overheard saying he could have used a third hand as he tried to balance a mug in one hand and slice of hot pie and sandwich wrap in the other. He was successful in navigating himself back to the table.

If you were one of the unlucky few unable to attend last night's exciting performance, you have another opportunity to get into the mix. Mark your calendar for Friday, October 9 when the featured act, the Jack Jonah Band, will be on hand to present an evening of big band jazz music. And be sure to check out a complete schedule of other upcoming events posted on the coffee house website, which can be found at www.cranburycoffeehouse.com.

Come join your friends and neighbors for the next fun filled evening. See you in October!
